The algorithm served up this video to me as well. I think the biggest internal conflict I have is to crop or to tuck. I’ve always been a tucker but recently have been enjoying a boxy slightly cropped vintage tee, so much so it’s a goal of mine to learn how to sew and crop a stack of random vintage tees I’ve curated. But the struggle of regretting the crop in a tucked situation is real

> It feels exhausting and, honestly, a bit snobbish. If you like the way something looks, wear it! No need for a deeper justification.

How does this fit with:

> Baggy Jeans: Yes, yes yes. A thousand times yes, we must stop wearing baggy jeans. [...] The baggy jeans epidemic is hurting all fashionbros everywhere. Not only is the garment functionally unsuitable, its genuinely just lazy at this point. Wear pants that fit you, please.

> the current young male outfit consists of baggy shorts & plaid shirt, and it’s honestly played out for the most part.

> However, I do have a problem with people who permanently alter their tees so short that we can see your cum gutters 24/7.

> Get them cooked forces out of here bro. Too often, you see people’s fits ruined because they’re wearing some dusty creased Club Cs, NB 2002rs, 550s, forces, etc, and it just hurts my soul

If you want to spend a whole article being snobby and judgemental about common clothing choices, that's your prerogative. But it seems a bit rich to still try to claim the 'I'm such a chill, non-judgemental guy, just wear what you like' credit at the end.

Its all shit. And this girl has zero understanding of the male fashion and body. And the reason fashion is all crap? Well it doesn't conform to good manners. Rule here is simple: stick to fundamentals, and be creative on those basic patterns.

Rule number one, you shouldn't be caught dead in a venue without a collar. This is a simple rule. Frame the face. For some reason, current morons don't get this point. Opens up a ton of options. Linen shirts, bowling shirts (the current kid trend, which I really like); chambray shirts...and a great classic, the oxford.

Pants is another issue. Everyone is aiming for the lowest common denominator. Women want status. premier wool pants in various shades is amazing to feel and drapes beautifully. But chinos etc are also ok. The rule here is don't show your legs. One, it is disgusting, and two, why wouldn't you want to add clothing to make legs look bulky?, and by comparison larger. We also have an hour-glass, its just thighs, waist, shoulders.

For feet, leather is always great. Leather sneakers are solid. Can't argue with black. But, in general, leather has a certain quality and masculine energy. Rule here, is that your shoes should be the highest value item you have on. Get one or two supreme shoes and boots, and you'll eat for a lifetime.

> Yeah, look, I struggle to get around the shorts over-the-knee look. It’s not bad, and there are contexts where it can look good;

Unless one is in the boy scouts or under 10 years old, they should never wear over the knee shorts. And one should never be in the boy scouts in the first place.

Yes loafers and dress shirts. Old money is an evergreen for young aspiring men. Even a few high quality brandless (nothing showing) pieces creatively woven into a wardrobe will elevate your style.

Loafers and dress shirts are definitely classic choices! While I think some people love the old money aesthetic, I think it goes beyond wearing a style of clothes to fit an aesthetic. I think true confidence comes from wearing what feels right for you, whether it’s high-quality basics or something more personal. Style is all about balance!
